When UPS driver James Joseph sees a need, his ‘Big Brown Reaching Back’ group springs into action – The Advocate

UPS driver James Joseph’s philosophy sounds a lot like a slogan his company once had: What can “Big Brown” do for you?

In the case of the philanthropy Joseph created, the answer seems to be “whatever it takes.”

When he’s not delivering packages, Joseph has helped deliver air conditioners and fans to people during sweltering weather, water and supplies to hurricane-stricken areas and, most recently, masks and hand sanitizer to schools across Louisiana.

Called Big Brown Reaching Back, Joseph’s organization has provided food on weekends in 10 Louisiana cities for impoverished children whose only regular hot meals come at school.

3 Reasons Why UPS (UPS) Is a Great Growth Stock – NASDAQ

Growth stocks are attractive to many investors, as above-average financial growth helps these stocks easily grab the market’s attention and produce exceptional returns. However, it isn’t easy to find a great growth stock.

By their very nature, these stocks carry above-average risk and volatility. Moreover, if a company’s growth story is over or nearing its end, betting on it could lead to significant loss.

However, the task of finding cutting-edge growth stocks is made easy with the help of the Zacks Growth Style Score (part of the Zacks Style Scores system), which looks beyond the traditional growth attributes to analyze a company’s real growth prospects.

Our proprietary system currently recommends United Parcel Service (UPS) as one such stock. This company not only has a favorable Growth Score, but also carries a top Zacks Rank.

UPS union members hold rally at Warwick hub – WPRI

Some members of a Rhode Island UPS union rallied Thursday morning outside the company’s hub in Warwick.

The goal was to raise concerns about working conditions there, which a UPS spokesperson says are unfounded.

Teamsters Local 251 business agent Matthew Maini claims the hub, which employs more than 1,800 workers, is no longer following COVID-19 safety protocols.

He claims the hub was not providing hand sanitizer or masks, and have not been cleaning or disinfecting bathrooms, vehicles, or other common areas.

“We feel that UPS should do the right thing and keep their employees safe,” Maini told 12 News earlier this week.
