Since when did UPS begin to believe in Al Gore's religion. They are pushing the Global Warming Religion at UPSers.com. They want us to turn off our lights for some time to vote for the earth.

With so much focus on cutting back on expenses, why is someone being paid to spread such ****!

I'm pissed that someone would have the time to post such propaganda.

Come on corporate, make sure these people have real things to do, instead of promoting a religion.

Agreed, but this is UPS after all, thumb-in-nose gallavanting it's billions upon billions of dollar gains and still laying off...my mind is wrapped around the idea anyway. also, playing politics is part of a good salesman. UPS would switch stances in a heartbeat, as though GLobal warming was just cheap one night stand, if and when 20-30 years from now global cooling were the proposed "alarming" worldwide concern..

This direction and expenditures are under the Brand Group and this is just PR.
The advertising budget has been reduced and the Green thing is easy and cheap to do. We didn't spend as much on 2009 calendars ... I hope
NASCAR sponsorship is contractual in nature and gives us good advertising exposure for the buck.

Knee jerk reactions against these things are understandable but we still got a business to run and advertising is part of that.

except for like 7-9am and 5-9pm the lights in our bathrooms are left off with a motion sensor. to get near the senor to turn the lights on you have to climb about 10 steps and then wonder around about 10 feet in pitch black before they turn on. this saves what 2$ in electricity a day?

how much is it going to cost when someone trips and falls down the stairs?

btw how does obamas "no new taxes" work with his cap/trade idea? are the utilities going to dig into their own profits to pay for these permits (taxes) . im pretty sure all of us are going to pay for it! then becuase there is a "heating crisis" for the inner city poor; we will have to give them handouts for the utility bills that obama made go up in the first placE!
