    VOTE EARTH!?!?

Since when did UPS begin to believe in Al Gore's religion. They are pushing the Global Warming Religion at UPSers.com. They want us to turn off our lights for some time to vote for the earth.

With so much focus on cutting back on expenses, why is someone being paid to spread such ****!

I'm :censored2: that someone would have the time to post such propaganda.

Come on corporate, make sure these people have real things to do, instead of promoting a religion.

This seems to have really struck a nerve with you. I'm not seeing it, my UPSer's front page has something about Women's History month.

Agreed, but this is UPS after all, thumb-in-nose gallavanting it's billions upon billions of dollar gains and still laying off...my mind is wrapped around the idea anyway. also, playing politics is part of a good salesman. UPS would switch stances in a heartbeat, as though GLobal warming was just cheap one night stand, if and when 20-30 years from now global cooling were the proposed "alarming" worldwide concern..

That and spending so much money (any money) an sponsoring a car that makes left turns for a few hours till it crashes.

Why in the world, in this economy, would we care at all to sponsor a nascar vehicle when we are laying off people? Somebody who makes decisions has got to get a clue.

This direction and expenditures are under the Brand Group and this is just PR.
The advertising budget has been reduced and the Green thing is easy and cheap to do. We didn't spend as much on 2009 calendars ... I hope
NASCAR sponsorship is contractual in nature and gives us good advertising exposure for the buck.

Knee jerk reactions against these things are understandable but we still got a business to run and advertising is part of that.

I would be more than willing to bet an hours of OT that UPS actually paid more per calender than last years. Recycled paper costs more than new paper.

Hope our BigWigs don't talk to Cheryl Crow any time soon.
(Miss One Square At A Time..) Got the runs? You get three squares!

And how would they enforce this? Why, cameras in the toilets, of course!

I didn't realize until she enlightened us that toilet paper was such a huge contributer to global warming.

Does anyone deliver to Cheryl who knows her address? Let's send her a case of corncobs.

With the economy being what it is and with so many people down on their luck, can't you see it now?

"Hey, bud, got a spare square?"

"No, there is no square to share, I can't spare a square."

  18. trplnkl

    trplnkl 555

It's HUGE, but he buys carbon print credits (from his own org) to make up for it.

except for like 7-9am and 5-9pm the lights in our bathrooms are left off with a motion sensor. to get near the senor to turn the lights on you have to climb about 10 steps and then wonder around about 10 feet in pitch black before they turn on. this saves what 2$ in electricity a day?

how much is it going to cost when someone trips and falls down the stairs?

btw how does obamas "no new taxes" work with his cap/trade idea? are the utilities going to dig into their own profits to pay for these permits (taxes) . im pretty sure all of us are going to pay for it! then becuase there is a "heating crisis" for the inner city poor; we will have to give them handouts for the utility bills that obama made go up in the first placE!
