4 day 10 hour work weeks in many supplements for package car drivers. Thoughts??

This most be the next big money saving move by ups. I would think you would see earlier start on Mondays in centers where most of the volume comes in on Saturday. They would probably keep the commercial routes in and switch a lot of the residential routes to 4 10. Thoughts, I could see why some drivers would be interested especially if you r close to retirement and r trying to hang on

I'd imagine that the Teamsters would request additional paid break time & increased staffing requirements that would make such tactic cost prohibitive.

4 x 10's are for feeders only (for now) and will be limited to 10% of total bid routes rounded down to the next lowest number. In our center this means 1 feeder route will be bid as a 4 x 10.
