401k balance questions

I signed up for my 401k last week or so, this past check (11/7) my deductions were taken out, but when I log on to my 401 it says no balance. How long should it take for a balance to show up?

You should have a balance in your 401k on Thursday. If you don't, call the 401k toll free number 1-800-537-0189.

Now is probably the best time to put money into a 401K for the first time. The costs to purchase the funds are where they were about 3-4 years ago, maybe even lower - I haven't done the actual research. Needless to say, you will be buying low.
