Last week an acquaintance/friend of mine passed away. His name is Leonard Gallo. He was 105 years old !! What an incredible lifetime.
He was born in Trappetto, Sicily in 1901. He came to America in 1922. He worked at the Ford Motor Co. for 37 years as a manufacturing supervisor and never missed a day of work.
He was married for 67 years to Rosa. They lived the American Dream and they retired to LaMesa, CA.
I will always remember going to his house and seeing the flagpole in his front yard with the American flag on the top and the Ford Motor Co. flag below it.
I was happy to have met and known Mr. Gallo.
