"Atlantic City casinos are a step closer to offering legalized sprorts betting for the first time in its 30 year history." Today's Bergen Record front page.

How many ISers, Maryland and NJ, will this induce to gamble OVER THEIR HEADS?

Why does it only apply to ISers? How many people in general would gamble over their heads?

A lot. Too many. I was just keeping with the spirit of this particular discussion group.

BTW, when I was blessed to be manager of some outstanding people, I received REAP (Regional Employee Assistance Program) training. Fortunately, I never had to use REAP. But what they said in REAP training was that at least 10% of the population have addiction problems. The instructor said "Look down the hallway and count 10 people. One of them has a dependency issue." I was flabbergasted.
So, legal sports betting is at least an IS issue and REAP/EAP is a UPS benefit addressing that issue. It is clearly a global issue and if you are a Pete Seeger style activist, call your state senator and tell her to balance the budget some other way.
