A Portland transportation consultant that’s suing two giant shippers could get its day in court.
AFMS charged UPS and FedEx with colluding to exclude third-party shipping consultants from doing business. The company said that UPS and FedEx officials announced in October 2009 they’d no longer deal with third-party consultants.
The decision allegedly violated the Sherman Antitrust Act, according to AFMS’ attorneys, resulting in “unreasonably restrained trade, increased prices” and consultants who’ve subsequently left the market.
