Bravo!!!! :grouphug:

You Tea Partiers amaze me. You get on here and whine about your working conditions and then you support a political agenda that worships companies like WalMart and FedEx. Conservatives are all about Corporate America and not the working man/woman. Are you ignorant, or just plain dumb?

The working man doesn't get his job from the government or pie-in-the-sky liberals. We're against exploitation as much as you are. We're also against the social engineering that has effed this country up and is very quickly suppressing our liberty.

So the government doesn't create jobs? Isn't that something you blame the president for?

These days he gets his job from a company that is willing to pay him $10-$14 per hour, with no retirement plan and usually zero or very marginal benefits. This is the type of capitalism the Tea Party represents.

What the government does is create an environment where business can either thrive or die on the vine. Tax and over regulate, inhibit growth, and the private sector creates few jobs. Give the rich, and I know this hurts you, the opportunity to keep more of their earnings, they open the purse strings and invest, people are hired, and for at least a cycle the economy is robust. Economics 101.

Isnt this trickle down economics in this picture you painted? Corporate America is now sitting on record profits and cash as I type this. The effective tax rate for American corporations is now about 12%. Thats pretty low? No job creation? Trickle down economics sounds nice but doesnt work because of corporate greed.

Companies like Apple and GE have so much cash sitting offshore they dont even know what to do with it. And this is all taking place with a Democratic President the right calls a liberal. OBAMA is not really a liberal.

This is "trickled-on" economics, where Corporate America urinates upon workers at-will.

And guess what? Those companies aren't going to invest all that cash as long as they feel the gov't will take a huge % of it, something Obama has indicated he's do if given the opportunity. As far as cash sitting offshore, what were tax havens have been pretty much pressured to inform the U.S. on who has what and where, and almost all are complying. It's a jobless recovery, and that doesn't do millions of unemployed much good.

Dude OBAMA WANTS TO LOWER THE CORPORATE TAX RATES. Obama is trying to get Amercican companies to invest in America and has proposed tax incentives for American companies to invest in America AND CREATE JOBS.

The Republicans and big business dont want to change the sweet TAX LOOPHOLE deal they have right now. ITS GREAT FOR THEM BUT BAD FOR AMERICA.

Obama is just not the anti-business big liberal that the RIGHT IS TRYING TO SPIN ON AMERICA.

ALSO THE CORPORATE CASH PARKED OFFSHORE IS ACTUALLY LEGAL USING THE TAX LOOPHOLES. THE POINT IS THAT THE BUSINESS CLIMATE NOW in 2013 IS THE ONE YOU DESCRIBED AND CORPORATE AMERICA IS KICKING ASS AND JUST LEAVING AMERICA BEHIND.

Vantexan and the Right think Obama hates America, wants Socialism, and wants to kill all the corporations. If anything, he's their best buddy and has bent over backwards to accommodate Corporate America at the expense of labor.

Exactly. I'm not a Tea Partier - yet - but I am definitely a lapsed Democrat. If Republicans ever manage to grow a pair I'd probably join up with them. Never thought that would happen, but I've had it with a political party (Dems) that wants taxpayers to fund people's sex-change operations, create laws to allow boys to use girls' restrooms, won't let us drill for oil on our own shores while other countries do, and force-feeds gay marriage to Americans while the traditional family falls apart. The Dems were largely responsible for the housing market crashing (thank you Barney Frank, you sleazeball), which hit my 401K and cut my hours so that my savings dried up. To hell with the Dems and the liberals. I'm looking for alternatives.

So? The head of Amazon, which just bought the Washington Post, is a liberal. There are lots of liberal CEOs, and their political orientation doesn't guarantee decent conditions for their employees. It's our bankrupt government that is hurting workers the most. I think we need a major taxpayer revolt. Lose the IRS, and tell our "rulers" that they no longer get to tax EVERYTHING. No more personal property tax. No more taxing income. Create a flat tax system. There are so many better alternatives to what we have now, which discourages investment and keeps lower-income people from moving ahead on their own.

Obama proposes lower corporate tax rates, new spending for job creation

WASHINGTON — President Barack Obama, seeking to break Washington's fiscal stalemate, is proposing cutting corporate tax rates in exchange for more spending on jobs programs. But his offer was immediately panned by congressional Republicans, casting doubts about its prospects.

The White House painted the new offer as a way for Washington to create jobs and generate short-term economic growth even as hopes for a grand deficit reduction deal fade. Obama was to announce his proposals Tuesday during a trip to an Amazon.com distribution center in Chattanooga, Tenn.

"We should be looking for other avenues of progress, other 'grand bargains' that can be for middle class job growth," White House economist Gene Sperling said.

The president has previously insisted such business tax reform be coupled with an individual tax overhaul. His new offer drops that demand and calls only for lowering the corporate rate from 35 percent to 28 percent, with an even lower effective tax rate of 25 percent for manufacturers.

Obama wants those rate changes to be coupled with significant spending on some sort of job creation program, such as manufacturing, infrastructure or community colleges.

Obama talked about lowering the corporate tax rates during the presidential debates with Romney. Remember Romney complained over and over about the HIGH Corp. tax rates while all along he was paying a super low effective tax rate. Thats why we didnt see Romneys tax returns.

I think you should go ahead and order your Tea Party hat, tinfoil back-up, and some copies of "Atlas Shrugged". You have arrived in the land of the insane...enjoy being part of the 7-8% on the fringes of political reality.
