I'm sure they did ask, but just because they asked, doesn't mean it is going to happen.

Sure they can ship it Saturday NDA or 2 day air all they want.

But if it's grounds or surepost, ups needs to tell them where to go. Especially after the crap Amazon said in the media all the time about ups.

We were told we would be starting a ground operation on Saturdays within the next 6 months and within two years UPS would be 7 days a week. This was at our union meeting today

Our supplement already has language for an alternate work schedule, to include Saturdays.

We were also told TCD's would not be allowed to work Saturdays only full timers who would be forced from the bottom up

What they would most likely do is cut routes and then use those drivers who did not work on Monday to work on Saturday.

I think the part timers would fill in on Saturdays. Doubt they'd have us work 6 days/week involuntarily considering the 60 hour rule

The operation would be expanded and you would have drivers who work T-S.

Idk how they can cut anymore than they already have. would start having missed pieces as everyone is already loaded down

Can have part timers work Saturday it would eliminate full time jobs

Amazon needs to go choke on a sock. We're a delivery business, not a retailer. We're not here to cater to the whims of spoiled, whiny 9-4:30/Mon-Fri people.

All of our competition delivers 6-7 days a week. It was bound to happen sooner or later

It means more when it comes from a veteran driver such as myself.

I would agree except no one pays you any attention so it actually means more coming from me in this instance

they can't force FT to work a sixth punch every week.

    This isn't holiday work.

Weren't you the one who predicted a two tier wage last contract and that we would all be taking a $10/HR pay cut to $25/HR max?

Your predictions on ups are never right.

If they do run Saturday ground, it'll be a separate service from regular ground. They probably run it in conjunction like the Saturday air operations are now.
