Right to vacation? What kind of baby-assed, hand-holding, socialist bulls:censored2:t is that? Not getting enough vacation? You got every right to go somewhere else that gives you more. It's too bad being the best also takes the most work.

its what every single developed nation does besides the states. america has all kinds of government socialism, planning and government regulations and laws: fire departments, police, library, how many hours a week you can drive, driving speed limits, etc.

also take a closer look, i bet you in the 1970s america had one of the lowest annual hours worked relative to the other developed countries. now its the amongst the highest.

and yes you are free to find employers that give you more vacation but even still on average its only 2 weeks a year in the states. this is the miracle of the free market.

I still can't figure out why you start so many threads like this when you live in Canada anyway. You enjoy your 10 legally-obligated days; I'll enjoy my 10 union-contracted days.

Ever think of the UK ?
Janice Manzur, 44, and her daughter Amber, 25, use mobility scooters as their weight means they struggle to get around, while Janice's home in Kirkcaldy, Fife, has been modified by the council to accommodate her disability.
Mother-of-two Janice has been claiming benefits since 2006, while her daughter has not worked for more than two years.
Together they receive around £33,600 in benefits a year, which is the equivalent of someone earning £46,000 a year before tax.

Full time work is 2080 hours. I worked 2589 hours last year minus 265 hours vaca, 56 hours in optional hours, and maybe 16 hours sick pay...I don't have to pay my bills, I choose to pay my bills.
