American liberals and conservatives think as if from different cultures

Then explain to me why that INDIVIDUAL cannot have the right to marry someone of the same sex if they so choose?

I was more thinking of why would conservatives clamour to support the Patriot Act if RB's claims were true?

I mean if individual rights hold supremacy to the interests of the state, seems to me someone here has no idea about definitions of terms much less knowledge of history. But then, real history is only what he already believes is true and anything else contrary or regardless of the evidence is "Revisionist History."

Funny, the political lefties make that same claim, "oh that's just revisionist history", (listed in fallacies next to Conspiracy Theory) so once again there presents another piece of evidence that there are no fundamental differences between the phoney left and phoney right in this country.

Annoy a liberal today. Hit them with facts.
No. You seem incapable of analytical thought...which is why you are struggling to understand the article.
No where in that article was Lincoln mentioned.
Throwing Lincoln in, with your slanted ideas, IS REVISIONIST HISTORY.
Like sort of forgetting that the DEMOCRATS where the slave owners, the Confederats and the KKK.

Man of Great Wisdom
Because it's icky.

Why can't people light up a joint in 48 states without fear of arrest?
Why can't I punch people in the head as I walk down the street?

The answer is the same for all of those questions:
IT'S THE LAW OF THE LAND
Is it really against the law to punch people in the head? If so, I apologize.

You really don't understand the article, do you? That's ok. Every post you make provides a clearer example of how correct the article is. Go on...

Like to read into things your slanted, pointed views to validate your pathetic opinions of the world, much? Yeah, I think you do.

I did not and do not support the patriot act. Gives too much power to the state.

If you mean from being locked in your very narrow and fixed perspective? You would be right!
My perspective is not fixed. When new information comes to me that makes me doubt my perspective, I will re-evaluate and maybe change my ideology.
It's take me almost 50 years to have the ideology I have now. Trust me, when I was 12, I had your ideology. But 2 things happened that changed that. I grew up and I saw the world.
Conservative states can work long term.
Socialist states die within 100 years.
The US is becoming a socialist state, and I would not like to see it die.

Actually you could say you can go around and punch people in the head. What you don't have the right to do is to avoid the consequences of such actions.

The claim "It's the Law of the Land" has been the claim of the worse despots mankind has experienced throughout history. It is those people who blindly follow such claims who lack critical thinking, self governance and otherwise lack the best qualities that make good men. The more you post, the more your self portrait completes itself.

And what do you consider "conservative states"? "Socialist states"?

Making terrible choices for a country and allowing women to kill their babies while protecting the rights of murderers and rapists because "the death penalty is cruel" HARDLY makes one a critical thinker. It makes one a backwards, confused individual

Lmao. Out of curiousity, what does my portrait look like?

The US was a conservative state from 1776 to about 1965. Built for the long term. Since 1965, we've slowly started on the path to our end.

The Soviet Union was a socialist state. Look what happened to them.

You really didn't know this? Now you know why I call you a troll.

No. I did not know that. Nor does anyone who knows what "conservative" and "socialist" and "liberal" and "capitalist" mean both in definition and in practice.
