Thank you for your condescending remark about the appendages of dogs. I was too stupid to realize that a canine could not open a box. Also, I worked in LE for many years, (with canines for a while) but thank you for telling me the functions of the job. In this jurisdiction (the one where I spent thousands of hours of my life doing society's dirty work), it was not possible to do that. For one, the dogs had too many hits on too many different areas. The scent carried over to the belts, the floors and walls, and even to one employee. The dogs hit on all these areas. The canines and handlers were invited there as guests to expose the dogs to large settings full of noise and people. It was to develop their situational awareness and allow them to focus on the task at hand and pay no attention to the noise. I will go back to my cave now and let you get back to mind breaking work of handing people cardboard boxes. Tonight I will probably be eating spam out of a can with a spork while you split the atom. Thank you, oh wise UPS driver, for enlightening me.
