It depends where in the building u work. Loaders have no coverage for 10 min breaks or to use the bathroom. So on really heavy volume days when you can finally see your slide...hmmm should I stay or should I go and come back to a jam packed slide? lol
Coverage isn't the union employee's problem. You advise the supervisor you are going to the bathroom if necessary and then go. If you are loading a feeder or package car you don't need to notify anyone. If you are a pickoff, you need to notify the sup to get you a union employee to replace you to go to the bathroom. If it's an emergency bathroom issue, you secure the belt if you can't get a replacement right away and notify the sup asap.
