Do you guys pay a fee for adding a spouse to your benefits plan?
Reason i was asking is a female friend at work added her domestic partner and she told me they charge her like 125.00 a paycheck to do so. I never heard of my buddies saying they pay for their spouses. I am not married and was curious if its possible they charge for domestic partners but not male-female marriage.
I would say she is pissing in your ear and telling you it is raining but that would be hard for a female to aim that well.
I am anxiously awaiting responses generated by this post...Does your state recognize same sex marriages?
No but they do civil unions.
...which is why she has to pay to add her partner to her insurance...
My marriage dissolved in to an uncivil union.
UPS insurance allows for same sex partner coverage the same as marriage.
I guess this is Teamster provided insurance?
You may be right--we have a PT supervisor who has her partner on her insurance.
They allow for it but can they charge one couple and not the other?
