I heard Billy Bob's ramblings from that interview played on the Howard Stern show. Though I thought the movie Sling Blade was great, Billy Bob is known to be a nut in real life so I can't say this is completely surprising behavior on his part.

I liked Billy Bob in Bad Santa....
I think he caught whatever Jaquin Phoenix caught on Letterman.
Can it be a prank.....remember Andy Kaufman from Taxi....he had some bizaar behavior.
