BOARDMAN — Township police responded to UPS, 95 Karago Ave., Monday after an employee reportedly threatened to kill everyone in the building.

Intresting UPS is not press charges for threating. What is that they don't the employee/management to say in the court?
Wait till the 3rd quarter thats when mangement really turn the screws on numbers. More verbal workplace is expected to happen at my hub anyway.

Hope she gets help. It can get pretty bad inside but never that bad. Maybe UPS figures it'd rather have employees shout out their possible intentions and ruin the surprise. Pressing charges every time might discourage that. She clearly wanted out so termination and trespass warning shouldn't escalate things for her as much as another day in preload might.

We had an incident last week between a male black preloader and a female white 22.3 who was working the preload at the time. The black guy has a history of running his mouth and has started fights with several of his co-workers, the product of what our mechanic called "roid rage". The 22.3 is one of the quietest people you will ever meet. Anyway, I guess these two got in to an argument which escalated to the point where the 22.3 allegedly called the black guy a "n*****". She was immediately escorted out of the building and he followed shortly thereafter. To date they are both still out of work but rumors are they will be both be back shortly. Rumors are just that and it is quite possible that the "n" word was not used but if this indeed was the case I would have little use for a union that not only condones this type of behavior but rewards it by working hard to get this person back to work.

It should be noted that the 22.3 has been working under the provisions of a "last chance" agreement ever since the last of her 3 Tier 3 accidents within a 12 month period; in fact, her 22.3 position was created just for her as a compromise between the company and union. No one else is allowed to bid on this position which will be dissolved when she is no longer with the company.

It should also be noted that none of the PT supervisors felt it necessary to step in and diffuse the situation.

Sounds like the preload sups should have silenced their dog a long time ago and maybe that wouldn't have happened. The 22.3, like most people in that situation, probably just had enough of that guy's mouth. People say things they don't mean in those situations.
