Boardman police investigating threat at UPS

Anyway, I guess these two got in to an argument which escalated to the point where the 22.3 allegedly called the black guy a "n*****". She was immediately escorted out of the building and he followed shortly thereafter. To date they are both still out of work but rumors are they will be both be back shortly. Rumors are just that and it is quite possible that the "n" word was not used but if this indeed was the case I would have little use for a union that not only condones this type of behavior but rewards it by working hard to get this person back to work.

You'd prefer the union not stand up for her for using the N word? Would it be such a big deal if they were both black and letting that word fly?

It's a double standard, which is stupid. Also, It's JUST A WORD. What's that old expression that you teach your kids? "Sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me"

Has that been replaced with "Words hurt my feelings, I'll go cry and contemplate suicide"?

Truth be told, I would prefer, if she did indeed use that word, especially while on a last chance agreement, that she no longer be employed at UPS.

Truth be told, why did you bother to bring up gender and ethnicity in the first place. Neither should have any bearing at all on the situation.

Two employees had a heated argument. Find out why and who started it. Then, decide the punishment(s).

I brought it up specifically for the reason Superballs gave.

unfortunately in my hub last 2 times we had "incidents" it was a african american involved and they both kept their jobs
even though they got physical because they said the other person called them the "n" word even though everyone knows they
didnt get called that but no one steps up to be a witness either.

Drivers in my building have been getting into it all week with the dispatch sup and even the center manager. I mean full blown curse fests. All this because of the route cuts and over 9.5 dispatches. I smell a lot of grievances coming soon if it continues. By the way the dispatch sup is new at it...

Small center---the gossip is usually fairly accurate.

Neither of them are back to work yet.
