What does anyone think the good, bad, and ugly is on the outcome of this? I am wondering if this part of the deal that made it easy for freight to become teamsters. The company is probably looking to intergrate work between package and freight to get the work done at a cheaper cost. Maybe more devide and conquer coming our way.

I believe it was set up this way by design. Both for the company and the union.

Maybe but not in this contract.

I'm not talking about switching work between the two. I just mean its convenient for the freight and package contracts to end at the same time. They get to negotiate both at the same time and if it came to it we could both strike at the same time.

Do you not think the two contracts are going to be combined into one for the next contract after this one ?
