apparently raceanoncr missed the boat too.
"N20" for "kool-aid"...that was an obvious one. lol
In fairness, the selfishness, greed and narcissism usually arise more often from the Republican side rather than Democrats. Your post is counter-intuitive. Not to say I agree with arguing with a bunch of older Republicans on a message board is of any value.
If you really want to be fair, the comparison of dem vs repub would be left out. The post you quoted has nothing to do with D vs R but one person vs anyone that disagrees with him.
The fact is people throw around buzz words like narcissism ( Fox News used it recently, infact) but don't understand the meaning or use at all. Everyone has an ego to some degree and narcissism is a human element. It's sad that people watch that 'political entertainment channel' and regurgitate its content without discretion.
P.S. leave it to the loony to steer another thread OT.
Uh, yeah. Like Trp said, where did I say anything about Dem and Rep? I'm talking about this gook always taking center stage on ANY issue, no matter what it is!
If you're referring to me as being, "a bunch of older Republicans", well, where have I ever said anything like that? Haven't I made it clear I am neither D or R? Am registered as Ind. And, of course, your girlfriend jumps on that a few months ago and says that means we are nothing but Reps!
Your reference to the word, "narcissist" as being spotted on Fox News is a good one too. I don't watch Fox News. When I have caught it a few times in the past, I never heard it. I know that word because, as More stated, I'VE LIVED IT! I've seen goofballs such as this ALWAYS pinning medals on their own chest then bragging about it! Please, Sleeve, I take you as more reasonable than this. Read the threads in their entirety and assimilate them before reacting.
I'm sorry for labeling you something you are not. Thought I read you were Republican, your posts tend to push conservative right though?
.
In what way? I like to find legitimate opposition with the conservatives and especially conservative Republicans / Far right because they are more apparent. If the Dems were the ruling party on this forum I'd probably favor the other side. LOL All "ruling parties" are unnecessary to me, I own myself so what's the point of voting for something that is not believed to be anyway?Your posts tend to push Democratic so....but your not a Dem?
Another non-voter......another opinion that I rank very low on the totem pole. If you complain and don't vote you're just a sad case.In what way? You brought up Oprah, now I am obligated to relay a conversation I had with hubby in the line at the store. I saw an "O" Magazine cover......picture of Oprah, of course.
The picture didn't look 'true' to me. I mentioned to him that it sure looked really airbrushed to me. His comment was......did you remember to get my milk? "Men!"
Anyway, later that day in my Enquirer or Globe, there was a story of the heavy airbrushing done to Oprah's mag. covers. They showed 3 covers and then the real Oprah beside the covers. Her upper arms are huge......she probably couldn't fit into the blood pressure cuffs on the machines in the stores.......on one of the covers, her arms a slender and fit....................LIE!!! They really do a job on her every month.
Now, Dave, this was all your fault for bringing up Lady O. Now you see what a fantastic coffee date I can be !! Anytime you wanna do coffee, I'm there!
Last I heard you can't defy gravity with rocks just thrown in the air.......wear a helmet!!!At least I'll now have some good (as in thinking) company at the bottom of the totem pole.
Hey Sleeve, I've got tons of rocks to throw at the morons higher up on the pole so just bring your favorite beverage and we'll have all kinds of fun! Little secret, I've yet to throw my biggest rocks and some of them are guaranteed to take this forum totally nuclear. And some day I will throw them, you can take that to the bank!

Wow!!! Your head is really swelled...do you wear a helmet?

I can honestly say that for the most part when I see you 2 post here, 2 quotes among many others come to mind.
Hate me you will, but at least I was honest!
For this coming week, starting Monday ending Friday, we're betting how many times you say, "I" or "Me". I'm saying 536.
Well, I also gotta let this outta the bag...the week after, we're willing to put up your years pay if you DON'T say "I" or "Me" for the week. I'm betting we don't hear from you because you can't say one sentence without one or both of those words.

Well, Jane's a little off pace so far. Only 24 "I's" and "me's" Monday.
Alot of put downs and condescending tones but, alas, that's for another week. At least we did win the part about her not being able to go a week WITHOUT those two words! Just wished it'd been THIS week. Instant winnah!
