Ill gladly pay the $50 bucks for a light bulb with a 20 year lifespan at a lower operating cost in electricity usage. Cmon, think about people. ONE BULB=20 years. Its the future. Pay now, or pay 20 times that much over the next 20 years.

The republicans want to act like technology is a bad thing. Why do they want to push CONSUMPTION so badly?

They want us completely dependent on OIL and will do or say anything to achieve it.

$50.00 spread over 20 years is 2.50 a year, 2.50 spread over 12 months is .21 cents a month. Thats pretty cheap for 20 years of service.

Think about it.

1 To say that Canada makes better lightbulbs than America.

At least 1 who will tell the above to shove said Canadian lightbulb up his bum.

So tos, isn't one of Thomas Edison's first bulbs still glowing in NJ.?
What's the cost estimate for that one ?

Silly rabbit, tricks are for kids. You are trying to compare an historic relic with an everyday use bulb in the average home??

The bulbs of the future save energy, plain and simple. If you think its more complicated than that, then your just too old to change your mindset. Just like people who wouldnt forego the horse for the automobile.
