We have always worked Christmas eve and Saturday will be a mandatory work day
But we should be off on Monday , so for the first time in a long time enjoy the fact that we don't have to work the day after Christmas which means more time with the family
And miss all of the fun?

This is actually a good thing first off we're going to get straight time and a half for the whole day and then out of all the routes pretty much 90% of the business will be closed so it's just everybody helping each other out and it should be early day for once and you can make dinner for your family on Christmas Eve not worrying about.... am I going to be home by 9 o'clock or 10 on christmas eve....

Not dealing with that crap on Christmas Eve is one of the best parts of retirement.
I now get to start making dinner (Feast of the Seven Fishes) about noon for the whole family that evening.

No chance of me working Saturday Xmas Eve. It's been Monday to Friday for 26 years and that's not changing.

That's what I'm saying too. Damn near 5 months to Christmas and the young bucks are panicking. If you have hours left, you will be working.
