Christmas time is here

When I was young driver, I loved the Christmas season, and sup that was training me told me how UPS ruined the season for him, and most UPS employees. I have since, love the day, but not the season. I love seeing the kids and there enjoyment of it, but don't like the commercialism of it all. Don't know if it is just me getting older or the amount of work we get, and being tired the whole season. What do you think?

But the kids are grown now, and we're not religious, so I hate the whole season. Everything's a pain in the ass, can't go to the store or out to eat. Everything's a loud, crowded mess.
Thank God Al Gore for the internet, anything I need I just have it delivered.

I used to really like Christmas when the kids were young. We used to laugh when we would spend all that time picking out just the right gift and wrapping it just right only to have them discard the toy and play with the box instead. Christmas is about family and is a tough time of year for those of us who are alone. I don't mind the extra work as I know it is all part of the job. To me the next 17 working days can't go by quickly enough.

For those who are alone, it is the most depressing time of the year. We all should make a little better effort to reach out to those people at this time of the year.
