[QUOTE="diesel96, post: 247910, member: 9859"] Hey Av8...Don't worry, I carry my own weight finanancially and with health coverage now and for my future, thx for caring..(not). I get a good laugh listening to your bravado stating your tired of people living off you, and everyone wants something for nothing. As if your measely little salary will make a world of difference.... I say it is people like you that ARE the big problem with this country supporting a regime thats castatrophically leading us to another depression (not to mention WWIII). Whether you agree with or not this country needs a certain degree of social programs to maintain equality, health, fairness, financial stability, clean air and longevity to be passed on to future generations. That selfish attitude will diminish as you get older or if you get ill or are unable to work and you'll after to live off social programs and that god awful VA treatment as you claim it is. And those who choose not to participate with contributions to their country's security should not benefit the advantages and perks you will recieve in times of need or retirement. Those who paid their taxes, soc sec,and medicare taxes all their life deserve the right to those benefits as they reach retirement. Thats not looking for handouts thats being rewarded for your contributions to society. Part of being responsible since you will be recieving VA benefits,soc.sec., medicare as you get older, will be teaching future generations to pass on the torch from one generation to the other and to vote in fiscally responsible Gov't.
