I'm so sick of people not being prepared with CODs. I'm not sure UPS calls all of them that are expecting CODs because there are more customers unprepared than there are ready with the checks or money orders in hand. I do realize that some people don't write the checks before hand because some of the shippers fails to, or is unable to, give them the correct amount that includes the shipping price. But that shouldn't stop the customer from making sure they have their check book handy for when we arrive with the package. Lately I've had allot of businesses (mainly custom auto shops) order NDAs and Savers that are CODs and the only people that can write the checks are out and have the check books with them. The people in the shop want me to wait because "I'm calling him...he should be here in a few minutes.." I don't play that game though and it pisses them off. When I tell them I will be back tomorrow they say that they really need the part today. The other day I just couldn't resist the urge anymore and finally said "If you needed it that bad then you guys would have had the check ready before hand." I expected a concern on that one but it didn't happen.
