In my part of the world 30/hr is below the median income per head of household and barely pays the bills. Your part of the world isn't as important as you want to believe.

Never said it was--perhaps you should stop trying to find things that just aren't there.

$30 an hour use to be big money here. Still is in the remote parts of the tri-county area. With Drum on the northern side of my area and Syracuse on the southern part, its not as big. But, as far as I am concerned, I don't want to live where a house costing $300,000 is the poor side of town.

I know the Canadian/US dollar fluctuates a lot.
We make a lot less than $30 an hour.
