The U.S. Commerce Department and United Parcel Service Inc. will detail on Friday a partnership aimed at boosting U.S. exports among small- and medium-sized businesses.
U.S. Commerce Secretary Gary Locke will announce the collaboration tomorrow in Doraville, Ga. Locke and UPS Chairman and CEO Scott Davis also will meet with local business leaders to discuss President Barack Obama’s National Export Initiative (NEI), which the administration claims will provide more funding, more focus and more cabinet-level coordination to grow U.S. exports.
