Companies unite to seek lower corporate taxes - OC Register

Some of the nation's best known companies including the Walt Disney Co., Lockheed Martin Corp., United Parcel Service Inc. and FedEx Corp. have formed a group to lobby Congress and President Obama to lower corporate tax rates.

The group, calling itself the Reducing America’s Taxes Equitably coalition, is staking its position as the Congressional deficit reduction super committee starts its work to cut the federal budget deficit $1.5 trillion over the next decade.

Currently, the federal corporate tax rate tops out at 35%, one of the highest in the world. (California adds another 8.84%, one of the highest among states.)
