My first statement was "hall admitted he knew there were UPS management people on the call." So the "secret" was out. So are we saying,"They are listening so we better talk "verwy, verwy qwiet!" If the chairman of the negotiating committee is upset , and surprised, that the integrity of the conference call was breached, then we are all in trouble. Do you not have 'company/union' members in your Local? And are we to believe that in the entire country not ONE shop steward is in the Company's pocket? "Here Bossman! I gots the phone numbers for you just likes I says I would, Bossman! Did I's do good, Bossman?? Can I lick you boots, Bossman?" The tactic of passing information down the line through 2 or more sources is the perfect scenario for really bad information getting to the members. PRINT IT OUT and distribute it. We already agree that the Company knows anyway. And to solve the problem by circling the wagons tighter...? So now it's 'word of mouth' 5 and 6 times over? Geeez! Get real! What's next? Smoke Signals? And for those who grew up being taught that TDU is the devil incarnate, that organization prevented the U.S. government from taking Trusteeship of the Teamsters back in the 'darker days'.
