This is actually something I've been wondering for quite awhile but never asked. Is being a driver in a stereotypically dangerous inner city or similar area ever a threat to said driver's life or safety? Has anyone ever encountered any problems?

Well essentially I was wondering because I was looking at starting in the DC area, and hopefully eventually work my way up. Is that unwise in this regard?

Yes it can be dangerous. Just dont be stupid, dont act scared, deliver the pkgs, even if you know they are drugs, and give respect when its deserved, and give crap back when its not.
Make sure you know where dead ends are, get the big picture, and if the street is blocked, dont go down it.
Trust your instincts, stay alive, be safe.
