DC Occupier Thugs Try To Storm Smithsonian Museum, Clash With Guards

#!

Just like a Tea Party, right?
(AFP) — Protesters clashed with security staff when they tried to enter a museum in Washington on Saturday, prompting one guard to use pepper spray and leading to at least one arrest, a spokeswoman said.

The incident occurred at The Smithsonian’s National Air and Space Museum around 3:15 pm (1915 GMT), after hundreds of activists had marched from Freedom Plaza, near the White House, along the National Mall towards the US Capitol.

Some of those in the demonstration were affiliated with the Occupy DC protest group that sprung up earlier this week as a spin-off of the larger Occupy Wall Street movement in New York, angered at “corporate greed.”

Smithsonian spokeswoman Linda St. Thomas said a group of the protesters were confronted when they tried to push through the doors and enter the Air and Space Museum.

“When they were told they couldn’t bring the banners they were carrying inside one security officer used pepper spray,” she said.

“There were a couple of hundred protesters in the area at the time and Washington police were called. There was one arrest that I know of,” she added, noting that the museum closed its doors two hours early because of the clash.

Occupy DC, a young group of several dozen protesters, is camping out at McPherson Square on Washington’s K Street, where many political lobbyists have their offices.

I would've been p.o.'d if I took my family on vacation to D.C. and planned to go to the Air & Space Museum and found it closed because of the idiots demonstrating. You can do your protests without ruining everybody else's life !!

(The Hill) — Herman Cain charged Sunday that groups sympathetic to President Obama were ginning up the Occupy Wall Street protests to take attention away from the administration’s policies.

Cain, the GOP presidential candidate and former Godfather’s Pizza chief executive, also continued to call the growing protests “anti-American” and that demonstrators were merely jealous of those more successful.

“We know that the unions and certain union-related organizations have been behind these protests that are going on on Wall Street and other parts around the country,” Cain said on CBS’s “Face the Nation.”

“It’s coordinated to create a distraction so people won’t focus on the failed policies of this administration,” he added
For his part, Cain also dubbed the protests anti-capitalist and said demonstrators would be betters served targeting the White House.
“I don’t have a lot of patience for people who want to protest the success of somebody else,” Cain said.

House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi of San Francisco on ABC’s “This Week,” essentially called Cantor a hypocrite for criticizing the Wall Street protesters while embracing the “tea party” movement.

“I didn’t hear him say anything when the tea party was out demonstrating, actually spitting on members of Congress right here in the Capitol, and he and his colleagues were putting signs in the windows encouraging them,’ Pelosi said.

Pelosi said she supported the movement’s “message.”

“I support the message to the establishment, whether it's Wall Street or the political establishment and the rest, that change has to happen,” she said “We cannot continue in a way that does not — that is not relevant to their lives. People are angry.”

Tea party spitting ?
Hasn't anyone told her yet that no video exists showing that.
She is still trying to spread false lies, except about how much money her family has made from their gov't war contracts.

She is then calling herself a hypocrite........she put down the tea party demonstrations and embraces the "Occupy Wall Street" ones.

Oh, look Code Pink has finally found a group that they can protest about...................

Shameful: Code Pink Leftists Protest Wounded Warriors Participating In Army Ten-Miler Event…
Congressman Allen West:
Just finished running Army Ten Miler and unofficial time was 1 hr 29 mins and change, great seeing many old friends and former bosses. However, what struck me as shameful was Code Pink being out on the run course protesting. There were many Wounded Warriors doing the wheelchair race and running with their prosthetic devices. Perhaps Code Pink does not realize that those “Army Strong” men and women make it possible for them to stand on Independence Ave and demean their service, sacrifice, and commitment.

So we know have Farrakhan, Iran and Hugo Chavez on the same side as Barack Obama, Pelosi and the Dem establishment in backing the Occupiers.
(Philly Now) — In a two-hour speech yesterday, Nation of Islam Minister Louis Farrakhan called for blacks to take off their bedroom slippers (echoing President Obama), and called for a central bank to help blacks rebuild their own communities. He called upon black millionaires and billionaires to set up a corporation to loan money to blacks, who would buy land and create their own jobs in agribusiness and animal husbandry.

Addressing the thousands gathered at the Convention Center for the final day of the anniversary of the Million Man March in Washington, D.C., in 1995, he railed against the government’s military actions in Muslim nations Pakistan, Iraq, Libya and Afghanistan. “We must not let our government send our babies to die on the basis of a lie,” he said. He said Philadelphia would be the seat of a new nation, starting with the “young white people now marching” in American cities, what he called “the American autumn that’s just begun.”

His speech focused on the state of blacks in America, and he was as merciless toward them as he was toward Obama and the “white establishment.” “Whether you know it or not, we are at war,” he said. “Our survival as a people is at stake … The time for talk is over.”

“Our babies are dying and so are we, and they’re dying because leadership is rotten to the core,” he said. The “corporate media,” corporate mass culture and “cold-hearted” members of Congress (whom he called Zionists) exacerbate problems that must be changed within the individual: “The hurt and the pain of black men and women, boys and girls, [women and children, and yet we want to be respected as a man and treated as an equal when we have not done anythingwho] wanted to come together to atone for our failures as men. God did not make a man that we should not be responsible for our to deserve it.”

Monday, October 10, 2011 @ 10:30 am | Communists Looking To Hijack Occupier Movement, “We Can Play a Role In Advacing Ideas Of Nationalizing Banks And Socialism”…

They already seem well represented from what I’ve seen.
Via Washington Times:
Not to be outdone by the likes of Venezuela’s Hugo Chavez, who claimed there is “horrible repression” of the “Occupy Wall Street” protesters or by an Iranian commander who called the demonstrations an “American Spring,” Communist Party USA wants in on the “Occupy” protest action.

According to their website, a teleconference call this Tuesday is scheduled for a discussion regarding their organization’s “solidarity” with the OWS demonstrators:
Southern California Party leader Arturo Cambron will share how the CPUSA and Young Communist League (YCL) are working in “Occupy Los Angeles.”

This movement, also known as the “99% movement,” is being hailed across the country. Movements and organizations are reaching out in solidarity. The AFL-CIO is opening union halls and offering other material assistance. Ordinary people are donating food, money and materials. . . .
We can also play a role in offering more advanced programmatic idea
s like nationalizing the banks and socialism
.

To have a positive impact, the CPUSA and YCL must be a part of the “Occupy” movement, participating at every level and building greater local support for the actions among labor and progressive forces.

The antics might be growing, but it's getting watered down with numerous groups. Just a bunch of screamers with no one purpose!!

Supporters Of Islamic Terrorist Join Occupiers In Boston…

You can’t make this stuff up.
(Boston Herald) — The downtown protest group Occupy Boston threw its proverbial doors open yesterday, and played host to supporters of accused terrorist Terak Mehanna, who are looking to raise awareness of the Sudbury man’s upcoming trial.
The Tarek Mehanna Support Committee came to Occupy Boston’s ever-evolving tent city on the Rose Kennedy Greenway to say Mehanna, a Muslim American pharmacist, is a victim of anti-Muslim sentiment.

The U.S. government says Mehanna, 28, provided “material support to a designated foreign terrorist organization,” and acted as a “media wing” for al-Qaeda
Occupy Boston hosted the pro-Mehanna rally, but, officially, the leaderless group doesn’t have a position on the case.

For 10 days, Occupy Boston members have been living on the Greenway, in a tented community that has solar-generated power, a library, and street signs so people can navigate their way around the maze of pitched tents.

Moonbat Actor Danny Glover Calls For Occupier “Warriors”…

Just what we need, an army of leftist trash.

!

Via Huff Po:
In the clip above, actor and activist Danny Glover surprised Occupy LA demonstrators on Saturday in front of Downtown’s City Hall. In the sweltering heat of the afternoon (it is certainly not fall yet in Los Angeles), Glover says participating on the weekends is not enough. “We need 24/7 warriors,” he cries out at the end of his speech.

10, 2011 @ 1:17 pm | Paging Paul Krugman: Occupiers Holding Demonstrations Teaching Protesters How To Pick Lock On Police Handcuffs…
Krugman wrote earlier today, “there has in fact been nothing so far to match the behavior of Tea Party crowds in the summer of 2009,” which is odd because I don’t recall Tea Partiers needing to pick the lock on police handcuffs.

An instructor demonstrates how to pick the lock on handcuffs using a bobby pin at the Occupy Wall Street occupation of Zuccotti Park, Sunday, Oct. 9, 2011 in New York. (AP Photo/Henny Ray Abrams)
