Today my Diad died at 330. Had to run 120 stops with no board. Worst part about it was. Had to come back and manually punch in all the stops. It was about 2 degrees here .

What do you guys do to avoid this. This is the second time happening to me this winter.

Ask them to send you out with a spare battery?

    cosmo1 Just another internet hooligan.

Sounds like a good reason to let the truck run all day with the DIAD sitting on top of the defroster vents.

That happens here, but thankfully we haven't seen two degrees yet (Boston).

Keep the DIAD near the warmest air flow when you have the heat on.

    Other than that, not much.

Keep it in your vest pocket under your outer jacket?

Ask to have the battery swapped out. We routinely see below 0 for extended periods of time. Usually getting a new battery does the trick.

Haha they dont fix anything unless its completely dead.
If something is wrong with your board swap it with another drivers in the rack.

Bring an extra board with you and keep it wrapped in a sweatshirt so it stays warm in case you need to use it

Between your tights is the warmest part of your body on days like this.

Does that still work on the DIAD V's?

Changing out the batteries between DIADS voids the warranty, ask your OMS that does DIAD send backs.

It's like control-alt-delete and resets the DIAD.
