Did the 97' Strike affect any of you here?

One of the issues was that the Company wanted Drivers to purchase their own trucks.
Another was more full time jobs, the saying during the strike on the line I was somewhere, "half a job, not enough!"

Maybe but I did want to set your froggy little butt straight. :wink2:
That's not nice. All I know, is those days before the strike were some of the easier delivery days I had. Less bulk, less volume, less stops.
I was probably a runner-gunner too.
Which probably accounts for your new walker, and you only did that for a year.

Hmmmm ... I really don't know.

It was more like 2 years and I think the 40 plus years of playing, practicing and training for competitive tennis had much more to do with it.

Here, management didn't want anyone to cross the line. I don't think there was any really bad feelings on either side. Both sides knew what had to be done, and they did it.

Were you any good? I play a little, and could probably beat you now.
If you can walk fast and move your feet, I'm pretty sure you can beat me now.
I was 5th in the state of Georgia when I was 36 (Mens 35) and when I was 41 (Mens 40).
My partner and I have played together as double's partners since 1980.
