Do vacations transfer departments?

I was used to work the twilight shift, where I was already approved for my vacation. I just started cover driving recently and I was wondering if I lose my approval on the days I originally asked for since I am now lower in seniority.?

I have switched many times and never lost vacations. However, you probably want to ask the driving steward since this may be determined by local practice.

If your still part time you keep your vacation. If you switch to full time you are paid out

Where I am, if you go full time you re-pick your weeks which you'll still get the part time number of hours, at your present rate.
Or paid out, if the manager thinks he can get away with it.

When I went full time, they allowed me to take my originally scheduled weeks but they paid me out at my part time rate for all my vacation hours.

Depends. If they are still PT but a FT temp/seasonal cover, they won't be paid out.
