Wreck of the Edmond Fitzgerald Gordon Lightfoot

Gordon Lightfoot is one of the best artists alive. This song sends chills down my spine every time I listen to it.

Edmond Fitzgerald went down Nov. 10, 1975, in canadian waters 17 miles off Whitefish Point, Lake Superior.
Until the 1970's the 'Fitz' was the largest ship on the Lakes.

This is my personal favorite. I guess I'm the mushy type, old romantic that I am.

The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald?
Drew was not even born when this song came out...maybe his father was not even born!

Always liked that name Gitche Gumee.

Remember the parody song "The Wreck of the Walter Fritz Mondale"?
Always likes puns and parody songs. Think I've got most everything Weird Al has ever done. Weird Al's singing of "White and Nerdy" (parody of Chameleon's - Ridin' Dirty) was impressive. I could not begin to remember that much stuff to sing the song. Rumor has it that drewed is mowing in this video.
