word i like your style 407.same here bro, i go to work and try to do my job the best that i can and take care of my customers. i dont go to work to make friends or enemies. i go to make that cheese homeboy nothin less nothing more anymore. its gotten that bad at this job for sure with all the bs and harassment every day.i go to work and just be real aint trying to be like anybody else like some of these fake robot losers. i come home and do my thing with my wife and do my routine like you do if you know what i mean 407 lol. just wanna go to work and come home and if gods willing get to the finish line so i aint gotta deal with this nightmare they call UPS word! I was thinking of bailing out soon but think I'll stick around around for a little longer to see what may happen. It would be just my luck to retire and have them offer a buyout and miss out on it. Give me 1000$ for each year of service tax free with my pension and I will be gone before the ink dries on the papers I sign.
No, the company has never offered driver buyouts and never will. Its much cheaper to fire them or harass them into quitting.

Wasn't exactly what I was thinking! LOL
My reasoning is that buyouts are based on cost reduction due to overall staff reduction ... UPS paying into the Teamster's pension fund to offset early retirement and then turn around and hire a replacement does not make any sense.
There is higher probability in winning the lottery than hoping for this.

i think that they think they are paying us too much money. We all know their not hurting for money but thats not what their crying all the time like a bunch of little girls. If there's a way to save money or make more money, trust me they are on it.
I dont know any numbers as too what kind of money they would save but to most people you would think that they are getting tired of paying us so much money. Me personally, I try and rock em to sleep every chance i get with the idiot dispatches and them constantly trying to bust out routes and sending everyone out with the make believe numbers. I'm sure they would rather have a younger guy in there making less money and being more productive than an older guy or gal whos just cruising through trying to survive everyday with aches from head to toe everyday.
Oof course the new contract would have to be a two tier pay system. you know theyve got to be thinking that. They make a lot of money but they got a whole boatload going out also. You know UPS tends to do crazy spending on some stuff that sometimes makes no sense at all and sometimes backfires on them, but they like to gamble so maybe they have their numbers together and will gamble on the buyout thing.
All speculation obviously but I'd be willing to bet the farm and i know I'm right, some people are dying to get out of the prison. Shame really that after you've been there for a while all you work for is the cheese and that's all you have to look forward to. Of course there's a bunch of hypnotized robot drivers who may say other wise but really their only lying to themselves.

old brown stone, good for you dude. im happy for you that your going to be rolling out of alcatraz soon. all i got to ask is how the living heck did you make 30 years dude? package car or feeder? feeder i guess i could see that and props to you for making that smart educated decision to go to feeder if thats the scenario. i hope you and your family thouroughly enjoy your retirement. i aint got nothing but mad respect for you for gutting it out that long. i tell people all the time, anybody who is physically strong can do this job but the main thing and the bottom line is, if your not super mentally strong youll never make it. in other words you really have to be a beast and definitely something wrong witcha upstairs in the old noggin to do this job.lol.
You'll be working here a lot more years waiting for a buyout.
