No, I realized very quickly after I was rehired it wasn't going to happen in 7-8 years. What bothered me was that I was told that in the first two stations I worked at and that those mgrs and mgrs I worked with in other locations were telling newhires the same thing. It was something they were being told to say. Are you saying it's ok to get people to do your work by lying to them about what you will do for them in return? And then down the line say all shucks, I was just joshing? This from a company that claims it puts it's people first. Anyways, I started researching places to live where I could get by on my pension, thinking a pension in the low $20k's would still be a good thing to have. Now that's not happening either. And while folks like Cachsux will tell me I should have left FedEx long ago, I was working for that pension, which at least I'll get $13k a year at 55. And Brett, my $42k this year includes OT and selling 2 weeks of vacation. How much were you saving on your $42k? How much was your wife bringing in so that you could? Slam me personally all you want, the top brass in this country are pushing all of us to accept less and less so that they can get extraordinarily wealthy. You guys at UPS apparently have had it better long enough now you can't see the problem. Don't worry, your kids will. God Bless the U.S.A.!!
