FedEx profit more than doubles, tops expectations - Reuters
Package delivery giant FedEx Corp (FDX.N) raised its outlook and posted sharply higher profit, but its shares fell as its domestic volume numbers disappointed investors' hopes for a U.S. economic recovery.
Profit for its fiscal third quarter ended Feb 28 was $239 million, or 76 cents per share, up from $97 million, or 31 cents per share, a year earlier.
Analysts on average had expected 72 cents per share, according to Thomson Reuters I/B/E/S
