As a previous female package handler I say GO FOR IT! I was not concerned with what men were talking about. Nor was I concerned with being physical it was about feeling like I was accomplishing a task I wanted to pursue. I had four babies I would like to see a man do that! In any setting you choose your audience. I hear and see worse stuff on tv on billboards and on the street. UPS has a no tolerance for sexual harassment in the work place. It's safe I have never had a problem. Been with Company 12 years, now in HR Management.
In my building the majority of the women hit on and sexually harrass each other.
Not sure where and how UPS recruits this genre, but is a very real phenomenon.
I've been there for 20 years, done almost every job available and wasn't a spring chicken when I started. It's rough, dirty, blue collar. If you can handle it and not be offended go for it.
