Finally, the Teamsters get creative

So true. And yet we still never hear anything about how sneaky Fred was when he put in his own little bit of legislation to keep us from being able to organize back in 2006, I think. Now all of a sudden he is screaming bloody murder because this current and unfavorale legislation has a legitimate shot. What an A-hole. The skit is funny though, about damn time.

Smith was able to sneak his language into the FAA Bill back in 1996 with the help of politicians who like the smell of the green stuff. It was inserted at the last minute and was completely underhanded and very slick. A few politicians, including Ted Kennedy and Oberstar, cried foul, but it was too little, too late. This time around, Smith has his butt up against the wall because there are a lot of us who want a union compared to a relative handful back in 1996, and the Democrats are in power, not Bush. But he's a clever SOB, so the game isn't over yet.

It's sure going to be sweet to see President Obama sign the bill without Fred's special deal. Even if we never get a union, it will be worth it to have had Smith waste all of his money on a losing effort. I'd love to be a fly on the wall at Fred's mansion if the poor little rich boy doesn't get his way this time.

Imagine the rhetoric we're going to hear (along with the threats) if this all comes down against Fred. "The company is going under", "we're going to have layoffs", and on and on. The reality is that he barely has enough people to get the job done as-is, and people are still quitting this crap company in the midst of a recession.

Hey Fred, if one of your minions is reading this and it ever gets to you, remember this. Payback is hell, and you're way overdue. We'll all be smiling big the morning after. Hey, maybe we should all call-in sick just to remind you that it's a 2-way street, not a 1-way lane for the privileged. SCREW YOU!!!
