Forum issues?

I started this.

I disabled the members list a couple of days ago because some russian bot was repeatedly trying to search it for a couple of hours. Same search queries over and over. It's server intensive to search the members list, not worth bogging down the server and slowing down page loads.

The spy page is a new add on that displays the most recent site activity.

I just find it odd, it affected me for only 1 day, and it's gone. And that others still have problems, while most didn't even notice a problem !
Like you said Cherly, can't really fix, what's not really broken !

Using Firefox, I get a pop up with this message when I load the homepage:
Your submission could not be processed because the token has expired.

Please reload the window.
The forums however seem to be working fine.
With IE8 I don't get the pop up and the forums also seem to be working fine.
When I was having forum issues the other day it was only with Firefox, not IE, which seems to be opposite of what was happening to other people, which I don't understand.
I haven't been using Chrome since I made the switch to Win7 from XP, no particular reason just haven't gotten around to installing it.

I guess I better quit googling 'meat balls' .

Or Fish ! LOL

Anyways, since 3 or more weeks, 1 thread does not open for me "obamanation today". Not that it's a big deal, I just get the IE thingy, saying website not available.
Basically , no longer can read that thread, and ofcourse not post on it.

Thats the only complaint I have now, everything else has seemed to fixed itself.

Havent been able to post anything since midday. A message pops up that says "the token has expired?" What gives?

Same--and the forum home page doesn't update--it always shows 'added to my facebook account....' under the 'discussion forum' and 'are we contractually entitled' under the 'labor relations forum' for example. Plus it's giving times of last post that are in the future, like 'today 5:05 pm' even though it's only 8 am.

The major refreshing issue is gone. Howevere, there is an issue with certain threads, where it appears there is another page, but when you click on the next page it takes you right back to the page you were on.

With one glitch (said I had to wait 6 seconds to do 'another' search when I hadn't done any searches) it seems to be back to normal.
