What would be the lowest hourly wage you would perform your job at?
I keep hearing a lot of "PT employees could have controlled the contract if they just voted."
Be honest. The lowest hourly wage before you start looking for another job with competitive wage and such.

$25/hour plus benefits is IMO an appropriate wage for this job.

I'm sure that would be a wet dream for UPS management.

Why do assign this wage as 'appropriate'?

Ours is job which only requires a HS diploma and valid drivers license.

Just because that's all that's required doesn't mean that anyone with a HS diploma and a drivers license can do our job.

I'm neither of those but like a greedy whore divorcing a rock star, I still need to be compensated appropriately to live the life I've become accustomed to. $32/hr sounds good to me.

And I know plenty of college graduates who couldn't or wouldn't do my job. No matter what the rate is.

Do you really think that any of us has a unique skill set which makes us perfect for this job?

Do you really think that there is no one out there who could replace you?

    thanx.
I have often thought management didn't want overly educated people in the ranks

    Yes .
Given the turn over rate for new drivers.
Also the fact that they were raised in a world where everyone was declared a winner , and never really faced any hardships .

Don't forget that UPS school for new drivers who had to be taught how to walk on icy surfaces and how to fall properly .

    1) Yes.

I think everybody, management & hourly, at the center level is grossly underpaid when considering all the bull everyone has to deal with.
