Preload would be a pretty good punishment, even at the driver rate. Especially if that idiot was hired off street or from a different sort. Glad driving like that is unthinkable for most of us. I'd expect to be fired for it.

What an idiot. Morons like that should be canned because he gives all of us a bad name. We are all guilty of making an occasional bone head move but that takes the cake.

Ford did it first because they were in financial difficulty first. And had the federal government not stepped in to save GM and Chrysler, Ford's parts suppliers would have gone under as well effectively killing the entire industry.

I like Ford, but if you look into the recent history, you'll find that Ford got their loans to cover their costs months before the financial collapse. Fortunate timing. Maybe lucky on their part, maybe unlucky on GM and Chrysler's parts. Either way, it went the way it went. Ford did use their lot in borrowing their money in some clever, if not entirely true, advertisements.
