I don't think this poll would have had the same outcome if someone else would have posted it.

The result just doesn't make sense.

The result makes sense to me because it's America voting !!! We like nuclear power !!! We like V-8 power !! Shoot, I even like V-8 Juice !!

I was watching CNN this morning about US old nuclear plants.
Over 50% of them have leaked radiation into the rivers or ground water supplies.
They profiled the New Jersey one, (Cyber Creek), which had a major leak, due to underground pipelines getting old and rusting away.

They also tested the river for radiation levels and found them to be 200 times higher then normal levels.
Should check your V8 juice, maybe it contains higher then normal radiation levels, too, depending where the water source came from, and the veggies.

So are you implying that we become like every other third world country, and limit the amount of power one can use to only certain hours of the day ?
Now that would really kill any economic growth.

Flying is the saftest transportion method, that's a well known fact !
Now, what do you think is safer, solar energy or nuclear ?
The nuclear waste , well that's a huge problem or delimma in itself.

Mind you, for us it's good, you import our Uranium, and that's worth trillions of dollars in the long term.

Thanks ! :)

Canada is the world's largest uranium producer, contributing 26% of the world's uranium, followed by Australia, which produces 16% of the world's supply and Namibia and Niger, each of which contributes 9% of the world's supply.

In the 1980s, during a second phase of attrition and consolidation of the Western uranium industry, Canada emerged as the world's leading producer and exporter of uranium. About 78% of Canada's annual uranium production is destined for export, principally to the US, Japan and western Europe.

Does all that Canadian uranium come from uranus?

Of course, didn't you know about our space program ? We went to Uranus before the 1980's and have been harvesting that planet ever since.
Twice a month our Captain Kirk (William Shattner) brings huge shipments to us.

No one else would have posted this poll. It is more than a coincidence that the two countries you think that the United States should follow in terms of policies , happen to be one country you lived in and another one that you live in?

Atleast they are brighter then you folks, they are holding a referendem, and the polls are the opposite as on this thread.

Don't you get it.....it doesn't matter if they drop nuclear power......If there's a problem, the air above them isn't any cleaner than the air above any other city. Winds aloft will make it an even playing field. The air we all breathe is the same...... eventually.

Um, since you started the thread wouldn`t that make them brighter than you? Snappy Canadian comeback try #73........Fail.
