GFT's at our station are at an all time high at our station. Two going this week alone, "it's the morale stupid!!"

GFTs, Open Doors, TLAs etc...all mean nothing. First, all of them are a joke. The first two because they are not a legitimate grievance procedure, and the third because it is usually all talk, no listen, and zero action. Plus, managers used to have to show a certain amount of TLA to meet their goals.

By now, the message that employees are very unhappy is crystal clear to MEM, but they don't care. All they want is compliance, not motivation.

GFT's should be seen as nothing more then the first step towards litigation. You participate only to show you have gone through the internal process. In states where its allowed, it would be a good idea to secretly record the meeting.
