Currently we use Symantec ghost for disk imaging. Even though we don't use it for deployments (last I know of was the DCS WinXP deployment) It's still the standard for creating disaster recovery images of critical workstations (DCS comes to mind)
I've been playing a bit with Windows PE and noticed Windows Imaging and ImageX
Can we replace Ghost with ImageX and .WIM?
We'd benefit from not having to buy an Enterprise license for Ghost and by being able to use our extensive ties with Microsoft already, but we'd lose the knowledge built into our teams which currently deploy and use Ghost in the UPS environment.
