The ozone layer doesn't have a direct correlation to global warming. Greenhouse gases do. The ozone helps filter ultraviolet B rays, that cause skin cancer, cataracts in humans and problems in animals. Excessive ultraviolet B radiation can also cause problems in the food chain.

I'm old enough to remember that. the resistance to banning CFC's was no where near what you have today with the legitimate questioning of climate hysteria. in fact I don't remember much of a debate on the subject . everyone agreed with the ban other then a few corporations who were losing out.
