We have people on death row for years & years. They get married, they read books, they get exercise, they get tattoos, they weight train, they get educated, etc.

I think any appeals should be "front lined" in the system and a year should be the max amount of time before the actual execution.

We've got people like Scott Peterson just laughing at the justice system.

Clemmons was a bad seed from the get-go. His accomplice (getaway driver) served only 11 yrs for a double murder...also in Arkansas, and also "commuted" by Huckabee. Once out, Clemmons continued to get into trouble. which isn't really much of a surprise. He's just the worst of a bad bunch of 742(!!!) people, none of whom should have been released. The next Clemmons is already out there, thanks to Governor Mikey. He could have kept them where they belonged....behind bars. And he still wants to be president....good luck!!
You sure are coming down hard on Huckabee for Clemmons being on the street when it was a parole board that put him there. If it were not for the parole board, Clemmons would still be behind bars. Huckabee didn't have a crystal ball and you don't either. At the time, he was dealing with a 17 year old that could have possibly overcome his criminal behaviour and became a productive citezen, unfortunately even though it turns out the way it did, there are many other people that could have/should have recognized by later behaviour that Clemmons had not indeed turned over a new leaf. What about the judges that let him out on a very small bail while he had more charges pending? Do they share in your outrage?

As far as Huckabee becoming POTUS, I have no desire to see him in the white house. Too soft on crime.
