It's truly an insult. When you wipe your MT3, do you wave at Fred as he swirls down toward Hell?

On the brighter side (sic), my 2% raise will cover the raise in what I'd have to pay out of my check.

They might get what they want. My wife will check today about how much it'll cost to add me on her policy. I'm going to miss my doctor, he doesn't take her plan.

Like Mr. Fedex says more takeaways. Here is just another part of this.In the past the wage increase as I call it its not a raise,we got that on March 1.This year it went to October 7 WHERE IT WILL STAY,so instead of getting the wage increase three months after the insurance goes up its a nine month wait. Why did they do this?just another takeaway to keep our net income down and its part of the $1.7 billion plan.More beat downs to come.Whats next? sick pay, overtime,I,am sure there is a plan.Heard a DD actually say that the ins. plan did not change much.I just about blew my morning brew on that one.AAAAAA hey dumb*** the detuctiable doubled, but hey on there income they can aford the ER trips Right! not us grunts.

Insurance enrollment is Oct 15 - Nov 5. This is AFTER your 'wage increase' on the 7th.

Don't forget, no more co-pay at the doctors. Under the new plan, your covered 70% (not applied towards deductible) and X-Rays/Labs are covered 70% AFTER you meet deductible.

Just heard from my wife. $393.42 to add me. She's on by herself and pays $0.00.

It does, but the raise in 2013 benefits was AFTER the 5% I got last year.

Am I reading the package correctly? (Individual, all in network)
Premier $89/mo - Choice $5/mo
Premier deductible vs Choice - $1200 - $2250
Premier maximum out of pocket vs Choice - $3200 - $6250
Neither has a office visit co-pay.
Premiere has an extra 10% coverage for:
PCP
Urgent care
Mental Health
Specialist office visit
Outpatient surgery
Among others

Getting put on my wife's plan would cost $393.42...doh!!! Considering she pays $0.00 now, that's not really an option.

The monkey on the left.
That's right.
If you're a single guy (just you on the health plan) and, you're relatively healthy and don't go to the Dr. often, I'd do the cheapy plan. I'm currently on it.

The Premiere plan is closer to what I have now with approx. $7.00 increase. Deductible now is $500 and max out of pocket is $2500. The 'cheapy plan' is ridiculous, until you get sick or hurt....watch your wallet.

Sage advice. One never knows when you'll actually need insurance.

I for one, am going to max out that hcra even if I'm healthy and don't need to see a doctor.
There are plenty of options other than the HCSA scam.

You could start a separate savings account just for medical and deposit $X weekly. This takes discipline.
Some banks (mine does) also have a Health Savings Account you can start. The money is tax deductible, interest bearing and there is no 'use it or lose it'.
Another idea would be to start a Christmas Club where you can't touch the money until a certain date. Use a credit card until that date and use that money to pay it off.

No, I'm talking about the $400 they are giving us in the hcra. I will make sure that is used up.

It is my understanding that the money in the HCRA rolls over year over year, you never lose whatever is in the account until you spend it. Wouldn't it be better to sit on it until it's needed rather than go spend it unnecessarily?
