Got my benefits package

Totally agree. My deductibles will go up $3000 in 2014. $800 doesn't come close. Thank goodness for that 2 % raise last week :biting:

All you have to do is perform the math. It obviously benefits Fred, not the employee. Your example is an excellent illustration of this fact.

The HRA account pays any deductible and coinsurance for any visit NOT a preventive care visit (those cost you zero). You may not have to pay anything out of your pocket for those first few visits. When this HRA account gets depleted then you will pay any deductibles that remain and the coinsurance.

Thanks. So if I am sick and go to the dr then I pay 20% of whatever the dr visit is. So, 20% of 150.00 visit is 45.00. Is that 45.00 towards my deductible? An average emergency visit (600.00) costs me 120.00. Is that deductible of 8000.00 a high one? So my monthly out of pocket goes up and so does what I have to pay as the coinsurance-which we used to call copay?

Regular doctors visits do not count towards your deductible.

Definition of rape is this new insurance plan. If anyone in your family has any medical problem you will pay through the assse. An average specialist visit costs around $200 , that's a few visits and the money "they gave you" is gone. That union idea you didn't like a few years ago is starting to look mighty good idea all the sudden.

That's right...it's a rape. Anyone who has a chronic condition or develops one, is up :censored2: Creek. Other than the preventive care aspect, this is basically catastrophic coverage that most employees won't be able to use, which is exactly what Fred wants. The number one goal of a self-insured company is to reduce their exposure (payouts). What good is an insurance plan that you can't use?

You're better off just dying now than to get treated for any sort of serious illness. A funeral is less of a financial burden on the family. And FedEx will even send a (cheap) flower arrangement.

Don't forget. You could get your route number retired and your name up on the "Dead Courier" wall.
