Governor: State reviewing antitrust implications of DHL-UPS deal - Dayton Daily News

Gov. Ted Strickland said he is asking his top legal advisers to investigate whether DHL's proposal to hire the rival United Parcel Service to fly DHL's U.S. cargo would violate U.S. antitrust laws by reducing competition in the express package delivery market.

Gov, what are the antitrust implications when UPS as well as Fed Ex carries US mail?

Purely a political move to appease those workers who will lose jobs. No chance of success.

We could always just wait for DHL to completely tank and let competition be reduced that way.
